ARTIST STATEMENT
Inspired by everything I take in, my jewelry and my art is a product of all kinds of inspiration. I started as a photographer and that medium allowed me to capture all those things that inspire me in everyday life. The movement and the dynamics of the light and dark and shapes and colors of everything make their way into my sketches. Architecture often finds its way into a geometric design for a piece of jewelry. Natural forms are abstracted or casted directly there is no method to the madness. I design and create what strikes me and sometimes they must meet specific guidelines. That does not require me to change my process instead I adapt what inspires me to match the intended look and purpose of a given design.
